This was our second visit to the site. We were so impressed with the welcome, cleanliness and breakfast bacon butties! Our young labrador loves it as it's so convenient for the trail just across the road from the site. He adores the lake to swim in too, he's not so keen on the dog wash though. The site has been busy on both of the weekends that we have been there, such is it's popularity, but it never feels crowded. The showers are modern, spotless and we didn't have to queue. As we are in a motorhome, the close proximity of the pub down the road is a bonus, the food is very good value and dogs are allowed in the beer garden. We were pitched near the play area the first time we went, although not noisy,we preferred the second pitch as it was more to the middle of the site near to the MHS and a little quieter with less people passing our pitch. As the site is only an hour from home I'm sure we will be regulars and have already recommended it to friends.

We asked for a quiet pitch if possible, unfortunately, due to school holidays, this wasnt possible at all. We were in the middle of a group of 3 families who all liked to party late and allow their children to run screaming late in the evening. Whilst not anti-children (we have had ours and now look forward to the quiet), we would have appreciated not being sited in the middle of 3 large families. We had requested level hard-standing, preferably quieter pitch, but although hard pitch, not level and so close to the playground! The showers are lovely, though as with a lot, you have to constantly keep pressing the button. They have a good electronic gate system once you have checked in which we thought was a great idea. Would we stay again, probably not, purely because we like SOME peace and quiet. If you are happy to not get much sleep at all, then this is a good place to stay. Takes about 20 mins to get into Nottingham and nowhere to park a motorhome......luckily we had brought our motorbike as well.

We are new to caravanning and this trip was our first outing in our new (second hand) caravan. The staff at Teversal were extremely helpful when we contacted them prior to booking and continued to be very helpful and friendly throughout our stay.
On arrival we experienced a warm welcome and after selecting our pitch one of the staff helped us to reverse the caravan into the space. There were a few items we needed to purchase from the well stocked shop, but we'd expected a few oversights on our part.
We choose the pitch at the side of the dog walk, as this was also the first adventure for our two year old lab. It was a good but slightly sloping pitch, although there was a reasonable amount of traffic from passing children who we're going to play on the field. This didn't cause us any issues but will certainly be something to consider when selecting a pitch next time.
The site was quite busy over the weekend, but yet it didn't feel like a busy site. There was plenty of room between pitches and the layout of the site seems to be very well thought out.
As for the facilities, well what can I say, if this is what we can expect on caravan sites then I wish we'd tried it sooner. The toilet and showers are amazing and very clean. We used the showers on site and the bathrooms are a fantastic idea. We also didn't experience any queuing, which I understand is a problem on other sites.
The dog walking field is a really good addition, enabling us to have a quick walk first thing in the morning and last thing at night without having to venture out of the site. Across the road is a really good trail for walking and we are looking forward to returning to explore a bit more. The site also has a dog shower, ideal to clean up muddy paws!
This site is only about half an hour from where we live and was only intended as a safe haven for our first trip, but we will certainly be returning.
Well done Teversal, you have created an amazing facility.

Made a last minute booking and was made to feel very welcome both on the phone and when we arrived. The toilet block is the best we've ever seen; individual cubicles with a sink, toilet and shower and all spotless.
Lots of really good walks into the country and to Hatfield House close by.
Plenty of trees and hedges so it doesn't feel crowded on the site.
