Overview

Great site for exploring the pretty Cotswolds towns and their attractions.

Amid the honey-coloured villages of the Cotswolds is where you’ll find the Club’s charming Chipping Norton campsite. Tucked away off the beaten track, this campsite offers a mix of level and sloping pitches, surrounded by trees and dry stone walls.

If it’s peace and tranquillity you are after, this site delivers in spades. But it would a shame not to venture off site and explore the beauty of the Cotswolds. Hop in your car or catch the bus right outside the site and discover the charms of Chipping Norton itself, Chadlington, Charbury and Witney for starters.

No stay at Chipping Norton campsite should be without a visit to Stow on the Wold, Bourton-on-the- Water and Batsford. As well as brimming with charm, they boast an eclectic mix of family attractions including Birdland and a model village in Bourton. Batsford Arboretum and Hidcote Manor are also worth visiting.

Worth Noting

Most pitches are sloping so chocks will be required. The site has full recycling facilities.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

There is a Farmers’ Market on the third Saturday of the month in Chipping Norton. Several farm shops in the area sell locally grown fruit and vegetables.

This place is suitable only for people who want a quiet and uneventful stay.

This place is suitable only for people who want a quiet and uneventful stay. The staff obsessively manicure the grass and patrol the site enforcing the no ball games, no throwing anything, no walking on the cracks in the pavement rules in a very amiable but totalitarian manner. Great for retired people, no good for kids

This was our second visit to Chipping Norton, we stayed last year for a week but only 2 days on this visit as it was the vans first outing for the season. First of all let me comment on the friendliness of the Wardens at Chipping Norton, The welcome on arrival is second to none and nothing is too much trouble. The site has been upgraded, with the roadways now freshly recovered and Hard standing pitches in place. The site looks fresh and beautifully laid out. The shower block provides clean and hot showers with plenty of hot water 24/7. We will certainly be returning to Chipping Norton as its an ideal site for exploring the cotswolds alongside being only a few minute drive from the centre of town for shops and restaurants in the evening. Highly recommended!!!

Site was proudly looked after by the welcoming staff.

Site was proudly looked after by the welcoming staff. Fish and chips on Saturday night were good. Buses to Chipping Norton or Oxford from the entrance. Tite Inn has good beers and lovely to sit outside on a hot day - with childrens' playground. Just didn't get the hang of the showers and couldn't get them hot enough however we turned the control.
