Overview

Great site for exploring the pretty Cotswolds towns and their attractions.

Amid the honey-coloured villages of the Cotswolds is where you’ll find the Club’s charming Chipping Norton campsite. Tucked away off the beaten track, this campsite offers a mix of level and sloping pitches, surrounded by trees and dry stone walls.

If it’s peace and tranquillity you are after, this site delivers in spades. But it would a shame not to venture off site and explore the beauty of the Cotswolds. Hop in your car or catch the bus right outside the site and discover the charms of Chipping Norton itself, Chadlington, Charbury and Witney for starters.

No stay at Chipping Norton campsite should be without a visit to Stow on the Wold, Bourton-on-the- Water and Batsford. As well as brimming with charm, they boast an eclectic mix of family attractions including Birdland and a model village in Bourton. Batsford Arboretum and Hidcote Manor are also worth visiting.

If you'd like to go glamping then Chipping Norton Ready Camp is the perfect choice. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

Worth Noting

Most pitches are sloping so chocks will be required. The site has full recycling facilities.

Eat Local

Perfect, friendly and clean.

This review is for Chipping Norton

Perfect, friendly and clean. As from previous reviews, people seem to be complaining about the road. We were pretty close and it didn't disturb us. Almost no road noise at night, lovely, peaceful site. Would recommend and stay again.

Had a lovely short break at this rural site a couple of miles out of Chipping Norton.

Had a lovely short break at this rural site a couple of miles out of Chipping Norton. Very easy to find and access along roads which are busy during the day but quiet after working hours. A local bus shuttle between Chippy and Witney which stops just outside the site will take you out to the shops, pubs and local attractions for the day most days. No evening buses. Nearest pub is a half hour stroll down a hill (and a little harder back up!), the Tite Inn, good beer and food, dog friendly. The site is on top of a hill, but sheltered by mature trees all round. Hard standing pitches are level and well drained, some of the grass pitches not so level, but all in all good condition and loads of space. No Motorhome service point (yet)! The toilet block has just been refurbished and is lovely. A couple of glamping tents went up during our stay, and there is a climbing frame which might amuse children for a short time. There is a short dog walk on site, and a bridle way across the road for longer walks. Staff were on hand and helpful, and you can buy a few essentials at reception. Altogether a great site for dog owners or pub goers or just to relax in the sunshine.

Easy access to a number of Cotswold towns and villages.

This review is for Chipping Norton

Easy access to a number of Cotswold towns and villages. My only negative would be the heat of the hot water in the showers, it was too hot and no control to adjust the heat . Apart from that, a great site.

The site has obviously been updated since the poor reviews in 2016.

This review is for Chipping Norton

The site has obviously been updated since the poor reviews in 2016. The welcome was friendly and helpful and the toilet block was clean and well equipped. The dog walk is great, however it is on the other side of the main road so care needs to be taken. The road is busy but didn't detract from the peace and quiet on the site.
