Our site a mile from the attractions of Oxford city. Catch a bus from outside the site.
City break or countryside adventure, the choice is yours if you camp at our Oxford Club campsite. Located just a mile outside the centre of Oxford, the campsite is the perfect base for exploring the magnificent city of dreaming spires. Camping in Oxford doesn't get any better than this.
It’s hard to believe this pleasant bolt hole is so close to the city. It's restful ambience makes it ideal to kick back and relax after a day pounding the streets of Oxford. Trees line this well laid out site, pitches are level and a good range of facilities are available.
Walk, cycle or catch the bus (there’s a stop right outside the site) into the city and you’ll find plenty to see and do. Don’t miss the University Museum of Natural History (the most complete remains of any single dodo are here) and the Pitt Rivers and Ashmolean Museums, the latter has 67 galleries to explore. A guided walking tour is the best way to see the University colleges and botanic Garden. There are themed tours too including an Inspector Morse and a Harry Potter Tour. And a punt on the River Cherwell is a must.
The countryside around Oxford has its own delights. Not to be missed is the magnificent Baroque house – Blenheim Palace and its fine parkland in Woodstock. The Oxfordshire Museum is here too and tells the story of Oxfordshire through its galleries and exhibitions. The Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens is also worth a visit.
This really is the best of all the campsites in Oxford.

We read the reviews, felt a bit wary of what to expect however they were completely unfounded, yes the toilets and shower block is rather dated, but they are perfectly suitable and kept clean by the wardens, you cannot expect marble tiles and porcelain toilets, vanity units etc etc... Book yourselves into a hotel and pay for those if that's what you want. Most Caravans and camper vans have toilets, washing facilities anyway, so if people are going to complain about the on site ones... Don't use them!
The bus service into oxford is excellent, the red bridge park and ride is directly opposite the site plus a go outdoors if you need anything, a short walk to a tesco store, what more could you want...
So let's leave some positive reviews about this site people, the wardens are so friendly and the site layout is one of the best we have stayed at, Five star service all round in my book.......well done for doing an excellent job and providing an excellent service :-)

Great location for Oxford City, either a lovely 20 minute walk by the river or short bus ride directly outside site.
However very noisy on Friday night as right next to amenity site (didn't mind the train noise) but Saturday night was a lot better.
We arrived late Friday afternoon and couldn't have been made more welcome. The pitch was level and easy to access. I've read lots of complaints about the location of the site and the facilities. Okay, so the toilet block isn't the best, but it's clean and cared for. There is train noise but we didn't notice after the first hour and it didn't disturb us once at night.
The site is perfectly placed for a weekend in Oxford and with the regular bus service straight into the city centre, it couldn't have been easier to get around.
The fish and chip shop down the road sold the largest portions imaginable for a great price, and the food is freshly cooked and delicious.
Our outstanding memory of our stay was that my husband was travelling for work on the Sunday in the opposite direction to me and as I can't tow the camper with my car, our host John allowed us to pack up and park the camper out of the way so my husband could collect it when travelling home the following day. As the campsite was full, this was most unexpected as we thought we would have to leave the camper in the park and ride - a prospect we didn't relish. However, John's kind offer made all the difference to us and we will always be grateful.
So, in summary, compared to some of the other campsites we've visited, the amenities aren't the best, but the welcome and the hospitality was second to none and that is far more important to us. We felt part of the club rather than just a user for the first time and so we will return.

We love the site's location so near to oxford and abingdon bus stop outside. The staff are lovely and helpful , must say this year we felt a bit penned in but as we only really slept there put up with it I do not like the toilet block at all I still cannot bring myself to use wash up area when someone may come and deposit the grey waste next to me or even worse empty their chemical toilet behind a small wall no door so smell rife. The whole block needs a refurb but for some reason this cannot be done we will be back but next time not on school holidays . A small tesco just round corner and a fish and chip shop up road close also a nice pub that does good food all you can want really at hand
