We felt sorry for the staff.

This review is for Oxford

We felt sorry for the staff. They were very friendly, conscientious and helpful but the outdated plumbing etc facilities let this site down. The plumbing aspects of these facilities urgently need serious investment. The site seems to suffer from subsidence and perhaps this is the cause of the lack of investment. The location is very convenient for getting into Oxford, and this is probably the only reason anyone would elect to put up with the poor plumbing facilities, and the only reason it survives. The club should invest in bringing this Oxford site up to standard or find another location for its Oxford site.

Site was extremely noisy, even at night. Makes it difficult to get a decent night's sleep.

Site was extremely noisy, even at night. Makes it difficult to get a decent night's sleep. Facilities were very outdated and not as well maintained as those at other club sites. There were leaves on the floor that stayed in one place for 4 or 5 days so it was obvious that it hadn't been swept, let alone washed! The showers/ drainage in the men's side were awful as they drained the wrong way, and flooded. The site was marketed as having wifi but when we asked to pay for some we were told there was no point as most of the site had no wifi access. Very disappointed as we chose this site partly on the basis of having wifi.

We stayed here as we were going to a party some 10 miles away.

This review is for Oxford

We stayed here as we were going to a party some 10 miles away. I felt sorry for the staff as they tried so hard to keep everything clean but a lot of people staying on site did not help keep the facilities clean, it must be an uphill struggle for them. I did not like the grey water area being near the washing up area, so we did not eat in our van. It was an easy walk into Oxford along the cycle route or road and a nice walk through the park en route. We caught the bus to Wallingford and sat by the Thames and ate at a really nice pub there. Nice site for visiting Oxford but unless I had a special reason, I would not stay again.
