Good site if you need to visit the city of Oxford but would recommend using your own facilities as toilet block is very dated and cold.

This review is for Oxford

This site is easily accessible from the A34 and there are excellent bus services into Oxford city centre. The site facilities are old and dated but functional and clean. Some of the pitches only have a 10 amp supply and the grass on many has subsided so that the pitches are in slight hollows. There are two serious and major issues that the club need to address. Waste grey water can only be disposed of outside the main toilet block and the drain is surrounded by a high kerb so it is necessary physically lift a heavy caravan full waste container onto the drain to empty it. The drinking water taps are also surrounded by a high kerb so it is necessary to physically lift an Aqua Barrel on and off the kerb if you don`t have a long filler pipe.

This is a good site for easy bus access to the city.

This review is for Oxford

This is a good site for easy bus access to the city. On arrival, booking in was easy and we were shown to our pre-booked pitch. Not a lot of information was given to us at the time (it was raining). The facilities are basic and old! The toilet and shower blocks smell! They are cold and uninviting. We were aware that the site was not set up with motorhome services. However, it still is frustrating when you have to cart your waste water to the drain point or move your van to fill the fresh water tank. We were only able to book a grass pitch with no electric hook up. For our three night stay there were plenty of grass pitches available. In this day and age the Club should provide more electric hook ups. We were advised to not pay for the Wi-Fi as it was so poor. Another indictment. When we took the van out one day we returned to find another motorhome had been given our pitch! On enquiry it became our fault as there had been "a change in staff" and we should have left a pitch marker! It beggars belief that they don't keep a record of which pitches are occupied. We had a great time in Oxford but feel that our 20+ per night just paid to occupy a patch of grass. Come on Camping and Caravanning Club, invest some money in your sites.

This site really needs to close for a year's redevelopment.

This review is for Oxford

This site really needs to close for a year's redevelopment. Its only attraction is it being the only site convenient for Oxford city. As it attracts many european tourers, it is a poor advert for UK sites. Driving approach is easy to the Go Outdoors, but a little narrow past the shop and leaving risks scratching by low lying willow trees. Site is VERY uneven, to the extent of risking your unit bottoming out. Washing facilities are WWII MOD poor standard, every shower floods. Some night noise from trains immediately adjacent and A34 close by. Also recent security issues. I've stayed in similar sites in Genoa, but can't remember a more tired C&C site in UK. Needs to close for a year and re-emerge phoenix like to justify the 30+ per night they charge.
