Couldn't have had a better welcome. Shown to plot and given loads of information.

This review is for Oswestry, Cranberry Moss

Couldn't have had a better welcome. Shown to plot and given loads of information. Could do with more showers etc, as it's a busy site. That said, everything's well kept. My only gripe is that the location gives the impression that it's in Oswestry. In fact it's about 4 or 5 miles outside on the road to Shrewsbury. So if your in a motorhome it would be more difficult to get out and about locally. You have to drive everywhere. It's close to the A5 so it's strategically located, but it's hardly Oswestry.

Shrewsbury has 2 good "park & Ride"s; just off A5. Fish & Chip van calls at site Friday teatimes. Thursdays at 11am coffee & cakes in the large amenities hut on site. TVs in amenities hut for campers use. Radio signals were ok; but I couldn't get any TV signal (my van has a "fixed" satellite dish on the roof) so maybe need a dish that's moveable? The mere next to the site had mallards, wild geese, woodpeckers, finches; also hares and rabbits. Saw some buzzards too. Easy to get to the site from A5; larger units should be ok for access. Lots of walks from site, down quiet country lanes, to hamlets; if enjoy a stroll, or cycle.

There is a major problem with the showers, water col, I reported this to the warden on reception on three separate occasions, to be told it was the first time this had been reported, no one else had had a problem, no apology offered, in a 13 night stay only had 5 warm showers. Having read other reviews on this site, it would appear this is a problem that has been ongoing for a number of years, why then is it still not resolved, no point in asking for feedback if no action is taken by the organisation.
