Two holiday caravans available to let - find out more. Some pitches are slightly sloping. Due to unforeseen circumstances we are no longer able to give campers access to the dog walk along the drovers track at the bottom of our site. However there are many public footpaths in the area, the closest of which is opposite the entrance to our site. Please note that there may be sheep, cattle or horses in the fields, and your dog must be kept on a lead. The footpaths may become very muddy during wet weather, so stout shoes or wellingtons are recommended.
WiFi is available at this site. However please note the service is supplied by a different provider therefore your Site WiFi card (powered by WiComs) cannot be used. Please contact the site direct for more information.
The site shop stocks locally-produced bacon, sausage, lamb, burgers, chicken, eggs, cheese, cider and ales. Bread and pastries are baked on site. There is a farm butcher next to site and a farmers’ market in Wells. The village pubs serve local produce.

We stopped at this site on our way down to Cornwall and we did have a little trouble finding it, but even so once we were there we were greeted very well indeed, the staff were very polite and helpful and the facilities were very clean and spotless, the site was well maintained and free from litter and generally, I cannot fault it in anyway, We shall go there again if needs be.

Just back from fab time at Mendip. The wardens are really nice and helpful. Beautiful views, clean and quiet. Some pitches are sloped but we had a water tap which was a bonus. Only down side was no dog walk area. Definitely go back.

We stayed only one night, but managed to experience a couple of village facilities., one good, the other not so. Just a couple of hundred yards from the campsite is a charming farm shop/caf. The food, service and overall value for money was excellent. We will definitely be going back. The only remaining village pub may be resting on its laurels. Yes it was a lovely evening and yes they were very busy, but our "curries" could best be described as chicken and rice... where were ANY spices? So on this occasion we did give them poor feedback when asked if everything was OK (we had already had to chase the meals which had obviously been forgotten) On giving the feedback we waited to receive their response, we got none. However on going to settle the bill we were told that we were not being charged at all for the food! This is indeed a very generous offer, but in all honesty I would have preferred an apology and just a free drink. On that basis they deserve another chance. Watch this space.

“Had a wonderful 4 days at this lovely site.
Bakery on site so had fresh croissants and pain au chocolat for final day breakfast. Also tried the local pub for great food, beer and cider and a short walk home to walk it off! Highly recommended.”
