Great site for couples
Top site for cycling
Tranquillity close to the heart of England on a campsite in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
This Club campsite sits on the edge of one the Midlands’ most popular beauty spots, Cannock Chase. A combination of natural deciduous woodland, coniferous plantations and open heathland the Chase – England’s smallest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – offers boundless adventure and fun for walkers, mountain bikers and dog lovers alike and is perfectly located for exploring the attractions of Cannock, Lichfield, Birmingham and the surrounding area.
Our pretty campsite here is well laid out and bordered by trees. It offers level hardstanding pitches, while grass pitches tend to be sloping. In addition to showers and toilets, the site offers washing up facilities, a site shop offering basic provisions and a family room and there is direct access from the site onto the Chase.
The Chase is definitely the big appeal of this site. As well as its bountiful wildlife, it offers endless walking and miles of exhilarating mountain bike trails, including the famous Follow the Dog trail and new Monkey Trail, which start from Birches Valley Forest Centre.
Some pitches are sloping so chocks will be required, and all grass pitches are sloping. Poor TV and mobile reception on site. New play area for children and new bike wash – perfect for use after cycling the trails

On arrival, the wardens were very pleasant and helpful. When we pitched our campervan up we had a problem with our fridge because of the slope and they very kindly let us some chocks. Nothing was too much trouble and the site was very clean and charming. Recommended.

I liked the fact this site is right next to great walking and biking countryside.
The facilities are faded but clean - showers were reasonably warm and loos clean.
I liked the motorhome service point, with grey water disposal.
Only downside was the peak time traffic noise from the main road at the front of the site.

this site is a lovely well maintained site with spotless washing and shower rooms. The childrens park was a particular favourite and he spent hours playing with the other children.
The site does have some slopes on it , but the pitch where we camped was ok not to steep to bother us.
The only drawback if there is one to this site is the road which runs besides the site , it seemed a favourite of load bikers and the site being a slight hollow echoed the sound.
All in all , we have said we would return to this site despite the minor noise complaints. So please don't be put off because of this , its a wonderful site with very friendly staff
