Chertsey is on the banks of the Thames, just a 30-minute train ride from London.

This lovely riverside campsite is an oasis in the suburbs. It has a really rural feel yet is just a 30-minute train ride to London from the Weybridge station. It’s also perfectly placed for visiting some of the country’s best-loved theme parks (Lego Land, Thorpe Park and Chessington), as well as the world-famous Kew, Wisely and Savill gardens. Hampton Court and Chelsea flower shows are also within easy reach from here.

This popular site is on the banks of the River Thames. Bag yourself a riverside pitch and watch the many pleasure craft sail by. Walkers will enjoy the Thames Path Nature Trail, a towpath leading to Staines.

The sheltered site provides great facilities for campers, including a games room with TV and table tennis table.

Worth Noting

The site is outside the Congestion Charge and Low Emission Zones. Fishing is available 16 June-15 March. Towcars must remain on site overnight. Super Service pitches have TV aerial sockets. The Weybridge station is located 4 Miles from the campsite. Those with motorhomes who wish to use this station are advised to use a taxi when possible.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora or fauna. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available.

Eat Local

The farm shop in Lyne (approx. 10 min drive) sells a range of home-grown fruit and vegetables as wellas goose eggs, fresh bread, chutney, jams and more.

Due to being held up in the Calais shipping strikes we were unable to arrive when stated. A phone call to the site kept our booking and the girls in the office soon had everything sorted on our arrival. The site itself is very clean and tidy and the garden features on entry and exit shows how keen the stewards are. Another important point is that there were very few notices around the sanitary block. I have been on sites where notices of what you can't do are all over the place - reminding me of a Blackpool boarding house we used to stay in, in the 60;s Well done Chertsey. We look forward to visiting you again.

Had a lovely time at this camp site.

This review is for Chertsey

Had a lovely time at this camp site. Delighted to arrive after navigating Friday early evening traffic from London to find a fish and chip van in full operation opposite reception. Lovely tea. Spacious tent area. A bit of a walk to the toilet and shower block but very close to water fill-up area. Toilet and show block was very clean. We spent the following day at Hampton Court Palace which was a short drive away and a fantastic day out. It is the 500th anniversary so we kept bumping into Henry VII and Anne Boleyn - there were actors everywhere. In the evening we got 20% off our food and drinks bill at the nearby pub for staying at the camp site - just remember to take your camp site receipt as proof.
