Chertsey is on the banks of the Thames, just a 30-minute train ride from London.

This lovely riverside campsite is an oasis in the suburbs. It has a really rural feel yet is just a 30-minute train ride to London from the Weybridge station. It’s also perfectly placed for visiting some of the country’s best-loved theme parks (Lego Land, Thorpe Park and Chessington), as well as the world-famous Kew, Wisely and Savill gardens. Hampton Court and Chelsea flower shows are also within easy reach from here.

This popular site is on the banks of the River Thames. Bag yourself a riverside pitch and watch the many pleasure craft sail by. Walkers will enjoy the Thames Path Nature Trail, a towpath leading to Staines.

The sheltered site provides great facilities for campers, including a games room with TV and table tennis table.

Worth Noting

The site is outside the Congestion Charge and Low Emission Zones. Fishing is available 16 June-15 March. Towcars must remain on site overnight. Super Service pitches have TV aerial sockets. The Weybridge station is located 4 Miles from the campsite. Those with motorhomes who wish to use this station are advised to use a taxi when possible.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora or fauna. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available.

Eat Local

The farm shop in Lyne (approx. 10 min drive) sells a range of home-grown fruit and vegetables as wellas goose eggs, fresh bread, chutney, jams and more.

We have just spent 4 nights here and couldn’t fault it .

We have just spent 4 nights here and couldn’t fault it .Friendly staff and wellmaintained site .Easy to find. Excellent showers. Nice grounds .The location was better than I expected. It is in a very attractive area by the Thames surrounded by other pretty villages. We went into London one day (Book of Mormon is hilarious by the way) and my partner was panicking about getting the train connection back so he decided that we would drive to Hatton Cross tube station which was around 7 miles away next to Heathrow airport (which made for amazing viewing of the lowflying aircraft!) We parked there easily for £11 and then took the 44 minute tube ride straight to Picadilly (where most of the theatres are). We like to cycle off road and on the flat and the Chertsey area was great for that . We wanted to cycle along the Thames but you can only cycle part of the Thames path . When I googled it said you could join the cyclepath at Shepperton and cycle all the way to Toddington Lock but I couldn’t find where you joined it there so we went on to Walton On Thames which was only about 3 miles. There you join it at a huge new bridge. It was a lovely cycle ride and very easy. We cycled past Hampton Court and as far as Hampton Wick. It started to rain hard so we turned back then. We wanted to cycle the other way toward Staines but again it rained too much! We went to the Boathouse twice for a meal which was quite good value (20% discount) and in a nice location overlooking the Thames. We went for a drink to the Kingfisher. That is also overlooking Thames but you don’t have as good view as at the Boathouse. We walked into Chertsey – a 20 minute stroll –and went to a pub (where the drinks are much cheaper!) and went for a good meal at Bengali Dynasty . I've just read the last review and am now wondering how my sandal (which was left under the caravan) was broken at one of the straps! I thought it was wear and tear but maybe not!

Although it is on the Heathrow flightpath you soon get used to the planes during the day.

Although it is on the Heathrow flightpath you soon get used to the planes during the day. Their are pubs serving food very close by, although it is expensive and not the traditional pub fare you might expect. Even though the site is just off a fairly busy road, once on site you never notice it. Access to London and the surrounding attractions is easy enough by train or car. The way that the site is laid out it would be easy to find a quiet corner or somewhere near the play area. Whichever you required. We would definitely stay there again.

We travel regularly to Chertsey to visit family and the campsite is an ideal location to relax and entertain. The facilities are fab and the people that stay there friendly. The last visit we arrived and explained we had battery trouble and needed to keep the camper running. All the staff were really helpful and Roger Deacon took us immediately to our plot and sorted out an extra long electric hook up so we could recharge the battery. After a long journey from Wales their warm welcome was much appreciated. Throughout the week we asked various questions from how to walk to Shepperton along the Thames to which animal was responsible for stealing and chewing our sandals to pieces. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. Although they were busy they always had time to help. The toilets and showers were kept clean and tidy. The chips from the van were delicious. We will be back again very soon and look forward to meeting Roger and his wife again.

Really enjoyed our six days here. A super welcome from the team at 8.

Really enjoyed our six days here. A super welcome from the team at 8.00pm on Saturday night made the 7 hour journey less of a chore. They seem to have solved the hot water issues mentioned in many older reviews. I had three wonderful hot (but not too hot!) showers. Weybridge station is only 10 mins in the car and there is plenty of parking here. Frequent trains to Waterloo and your 'day in London'. The site is well maintained, though some of the internal decor of the toilet block/meeting room is getting a wee bit dated. Lovely Jubblies provided our 'arrival' fish and chips, which were wonderful, and avoided the need to cook after such a long drive. Their breakfast buns and baquettes are a great way to start you departure day too!
