Overview

A tranquil, traditional campsite within the M25 motorway, which has been in the Club's care for more than 90 years.

Please note: Walton On Thames is a Member Only Site.

Our pretty Walton Thames Club campsite ticks all the boxes for campers wishing to experience the hustle and bustle of the capital but camp in the more relaxed setting of the countryside. You would hardly know this leafy green oasis is located within London’s orbital M25 motorway.

The campsite is well laid out and surprisingly tranquil and spacious. There’s an excellent dog walk on site and numerous opportunities for dogs and walkers to stretch their legs off site, including a pleasant riverside walk into Hersham. Look out for the site’s resident parakeets.

Horse riding, golf, Nordic walking and llama trekking are all activities that can be enjoyed within the vicinity of the campsite.

Train stations at nearby Walton on Thames and Hersham make London and its attractions very easily accessible. Family days out not in the capital can be enjoyed at Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures and Legoland theme parks. The popular Hampton Court and Claremont Landscape Garden are close by.

It's country enough to be away but near enough to be convenient, a bit of background noise from the airplanes but not enough to be obtrusive. A really lovely CAMPING site with marvelous friendly staff.

Peter and Tracey were very welcoming .

This review is for Walton on Thames

Peter and Tracey were very welcoming . Our 9 m Concorde accessed the site without a problem but my wife walked ahead as lane is definitely only one vehicle wide. The hard standing was excellent and easily accessed via the one way system. Trees around the grey water dump on the low side for our unit but all facilities were excellent. Easy 20 minute walk to Hersham station to access Surbiton and beyond to Waterloo. We will return if we need to visit London or our daughter again who is at Kingston Uni. With more time to spare the Thames riverside would be easily accessed by bicycle or scooter and boat rides and riverside walks would be a lovely way to spend a sunny day. The site catered very well for dogs . Despite being fairly close to Heathrow we were not disturbed by the flight paths during our stay . The lack of shower and toilet block did not impact us as we never use these facilities.

I cant praise the staff enough.

This review is for Walton on Thames

I cant praise the staff enough. We had storm Katy and the grass pitches and the grass pitches were waterlogged, I had my car towed off and the day of leaving my caravan was towed off, the staff didn't complain they just got on with it, there were quite a few vans and cars towed off. The only down side to the location of the site is Walton town, at peak times it's a job to get through. Once on the site you could be anywhere.
