Enjoy water, wildlife, cycling and walking from this Midland's-based Club Site.

Please note that in late April/early May there were a number of thefts from site overnight. The site team are working with police and strengthening security where possible and there have been no recent incidents but please be sure to secure all personal belongings.

Our Kingsbury Water Park Club campsite is a tranquil oasis in the heart of the industrial Midlands. Bordered by the lovely Water Park, this campsite is the perfect setting for a leisurely break. It’s a spacious site with large, level pitches. The clean, modern facilities benefit from underfloor heating. But perhaps the most engaging thing about this site is its location.

The adjacent Water Park ensures there are numerous activities right on hand. The water – there’s plenty of it – provides canoeing and sailing opportunities. Kingsbury is also one of the largest and most diverse fisheries in the Midlands. Walking and cycling tracks meander through the park and for the younger family members there are two play areas, a small train and a children’s farm. Nature lovers are in for a treat too, as the water is a haven for many birds and mammals.

The Outdoor Education Centre opposite the campsite entrance offers a variety of activities including abseiling, canoeing, climbing, rafting and more.

A walk along the canal towpath will bring you to the Dog and Doublet pub, Middleton Hall and an RSPB reserve while further afield the city of Birmingham is great for shopping. It also has a Sea Life Centre, museums and a vibrant nightlife.

The Black Country Living Museum and Cadbury World are also worth visiting and, of course, just a stone’s throw from the campsite is the NEC which hosts numerous concerts and exhibitions.

Worth Noting

Please note, if you have more than one car or are visiting the site, there is limited parking available, therefore you may be asked to park at Broomey Croft car park, which is chargeable. This site is situated near the M42 and can suffer from road noise at times.

In need of a place to stay whilst on business in Birmingham for two days I opted to stay at Kingsbury Park. Normally a wild camper I held every possible reservation about pitching-up at a Camping and Caravanning Club Site, however Kingsbury Park dismissed all my concerns within an instant. The hosts were warm and attentive in their manner and made me feel extremely welcome. The toilet/shower block (my main reason for choosing this site as going to work smelling of last nights sleep wasnt an option) were immaculately clean and the showers invitingly hot. Best of all though were the motor home masses who seemingly encircled my non-electric grass pitch with an avid curiosity and went out of their way to ensure I was ok in my little tent and would frequently gesture me to join them for drinks, snacks, card games etc. My only criticism (and one Im sure would only be noticed by a tenter) was that a number of the paving slabs around the toilet block were loose thus creating a rhythmic ker-chunk noise whenever they were walked across. This was fine in the daytime but not so welcoming in my tent during the early hours of the morning, particularly around 5.30am when seemingly motor home masses leave their wagons in force to venture into the wilderness to use the toilet block. A fellow camper pointed out to me the next morning that this migration invariably occurs as the site facilities are often more favourable then the motor home masses own. A lovely site that provided a perfect induction into the Camping and Caravanning Club I will return!
