Initial welcome over the phone not good, actually decided not to stay, but lack of other sites meant we had to. We were also originally told they were full (later to find plenty of space on arrival), but when we phoned back and gave footprint there was space. However, on arrival much more welcoming and pleasant. Peaceful stay, with very clean and good facilities. The site is wooded and doesn't offer the great views you may hope for, but the location is excellent and near to numerous walks, cycle tracks and the fantastic scenery of the South Downs. Please just work on the phone customer service!

I wish I could have stayed longer. So peacful and because of the tree cover even on a windy night it was quiet below the trees. Will certainly try to visit again

This was our very first campsite ever (in April) having just got our campervan, and it couldn't have been a better experience. We were warmly welcomed - in the rain - and shown to our pitch. All the pitches are set in their own clearing in the wood. We were sited opposite the facilities which were always clean, warm and with constant hot water. Three shower cubicles with seat and hooks on back of the door. Four cubicles with mirrors and wash hand basins and four separate toilets - same in the adjacent gents section. There are more facilities near the entrance but we didn't need to use these at any time so I cannot comment. The building also contained a dish washing/food preparation room and laundry room complete with ironing board and iron. It was very peaceful when we were there even though it was the school Easter holiday. The children who were there were very well behaved - there is nothing nicer than the sound of children's laughter. Such a beautiful area and so much to do and see it will take a lot more return visits to achieve this - loved every minute of our stay. Thank you.
