Gentle walks and cycle rides are top of the to do list from our Wolverley Club campsite.

Surrounded by the stunning Worcestershire countryside and with the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal just 60 metres from site means you really can enjoy life in the slow lane.

The Lock Inn adjacent to the canal and a couple of minutes’ walk from the campsite provides an excellent resting place to enjoy a pint (or frozen cider) and partake in a spot of gongoozling. There are some lovely walks to be enjoyed along the canal towpath especially as there is Springfields country park near the canal were fishing is available and a great play park for the children. Stop off in Kidderminster and, as well as shops and eateries, you’ll find the Severn Valley Railway. Board a steam train and enjoy the 16 mile journey through glorious countryside to Bridgnorth.

There are numerous opportunities for family days out from the campsite. Explore 1,000 years of history at Hartlebury Museum near Kidderminster. Bodenham Aboretum and Earth Centre , Wolverley and Arley Aboretum, Arley village are wonderlands of trees and shrubs and for animal lovers the West Midland Safari and Leisure Park, Dudley Zoo and Rays Farm are not to be missed.

Back at camp, there’ still more to do. There’s a playing field for youngsters to let off steam adjacent to the campsite and a large recreation room with table tennis and a pool table keep children occupied in bad weather. There’s an excellent dog walk and a good range of facilities including showers, laundry and site shop.

We loved this site and it's surrounding area.

This review is for Wolverley

We loved this site and it's surrounding area. Close to towns like Bewdley, Stourport and Stourbridge for shopping, museums, live entertainment and eating out yet situated in a countryside location right next to a canal with lovely quiet towpath walks. The old part of Wolverley is a few minutes walk from the site. Just a few yards walk from the site is the Lock public house with it's outside beer garden right on the side of the canal. Good reasonably priced food at this sometimes very busy waterside pub. By the Church is the Queens head pub that also has outside seating in a quieter village centre setting. Food costs a bit more here but the menu was very tempting ! Other local points of interest are Kinver edge about 3 miles away and Kingsford country park . Both places great for walking the dog.

This review is for Wolverley

A well run Club site with helpful staff and facilities that were always spotless, even after rain. Some sloping areas but also flat spots for tents. A small play area for children. Site is adjacent to a canal that provides flat local walks but also near more challenging walks e.g. Kinver Edge. Several interesting NT and English Heritage properties within 20-30 miles and also close to Kidderminster for useful food shopping and take-aways and restaurants. In my opinion local Pubs are a bit mixed. There are some good ones but food offerings are varied - traditional 'British' food is fairly easy to find but for something a bit special they are not ideal. Many are more suitable for a pre or post meal drink rather than an excellent meal. Site location is good with easy access to many areas worth exploring. We will be back - thanks!
