Ideal campsite for exploring local market towns or walks on the Malvern Hills.

Blackmore Club campsite enjoys a peaceful setting in the Worcestershire countryside with stunning views across to the Malvern Hills. It combines plenty of green open space with more sheltered pitches around the site perimeter. As well as clean, modern toilet blocks, the excellent on site facilities include a recreation room with pool table, dog walk and children’s play area.

One of the appeals of this award-wining site is its proximity to the Malvern Hills – an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty ¬- which offers fantastic walking and cycling opportunities on over 100 miles of paths and bridleways. In fact, so popular is the area for walking, it hosts a nine-day walking festival. If you prefer walks of the not so challenging type, the pretty village of Hanley Swan, with a choice of two pubs, is just a mile’s stroll from the site.

If you want to travel a bit further afield but leave your vehicle behind, there’s a bus stop just outside the site with an hourly service to Malvern, Upton and Worcester.

Worth Noting

TV reception is poor in some areas of the Site.

Eat Local

We visited the local Bluebell Inn, which I'd definitely recommend to others.

We visited the local Bluebell Inn, which I'd definitely recommend to others. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The surrounding area was very beautiful and a great escape for relaxing in.

We chose Blackmore as it is only about half an hour from home and have stayed there previously. The site was fairly quiet during the week but was much busier during the bank holiday weekend. Despite this, there was never any queue for the toilets or showers, and they were always very clean. When we stayed previously, the wardens had organised a quiz and a fun horse racing evening (with wooden horses and giant dice), and was hoping that this would be the case again, but as the wardens have apparently now changed, this didn't happen, which was a shame. This wouldn't stop us visiting again, however. The small village of Hanley Swan is about half a mile away, and the butcher there is definitely worth a visit, their pies are absolutely delicious. The only minor gripe we have is the site wifi signal, which was very intermittent. My husband paid to have a week's connection but found that a lot of the time he couldn't get any internet using his wifi connection at all, so felt that this probably wasn't worth buying. It does say in the site description that the coverage can't be guaranteed, so perhaps we were camped in one of the less good coverage areas.

Whenever we have booked more than 1 pitch on a c&cc site we have always been pitched together, this is a major plus over the caravan club. The warden flatly refused this time - unless I paid both lots of fees. What nonsense. The wardens are the most unfriendly we've encountered in over 20 years of caravanning - and it wasn't only us that were given the distinct impression that campers were an inconvenience. I understand they are a new team - someone needs to put them straight, and quickly.
