As the rain lashes down, battening down the unit and buttoning up for a bracing walk are the sound options. With an awning for extra living space, life on site in the rain for caravanners and motorhome owners is more straightforward than for tent campers. After all, the core of the unit is off the ground and, hopefully, watertight. There’s ample space to shed and store waterproofs, plus no need to completely batten down the hatches.
