For caravanners and motorhome owners the refrigeration unit of choice for years has been the three-way absorption fridge, which works on a 230V electric hook-up, from a 12V leisure battery or on gas. Its popularity comes from the flexibility of the three power sources and virtually silent operation arising from the lack of moving parts.
