The wild moors, limestone cliffs and golden beaches of the Gower Peninsula were formally recognised as Britain’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1956. Eight years later a Temporary Holiday Site (THS) made its debut at Bank Farm. Run in its early years by Birmingham District Association (DA), the THS is now organised by West Wales DA.
