With new caravans starting at more than £10,000 these days, some people have suggested caravanning has become the preserve of the wealthier camper – but is that necessarily true? I was surprised to find it’s been three and a half years since I wrote about cheap tent camping but I believe the principles still stand. Some things have gone up in price a little but with the introduction of Online Membership it’s cheaper to join the Club now than it was in 2013. And I reckon you could still camp in a tent for a fortnight for about £300 if you’re careful.
