My tour began last September at the Glenburn Dairy Certificated Site in Loans, near Troon in Ayrshire – a clean and tidy site with a lovely flat lawn, and a small well-tended garden. I even had exclusive use of the 100-year-old outside toilet, complete with the original wooden seat.
