Club Cleans Up At Loo Awards
The Camping and Caravanning Club’s Sites facilities really are ‘top of the loos’ after cleaning up at this year’s Loo of the Year Awards.
The Club’s Site network - almost 100 camp sites - was presented with the overall Trophy for the very best Holiday Park loos in the UK and the Attendant of the Year Award for the best in-house cleaning team. Alongside these awards, a record 12 sites gained 5 Star ratings and were entered into the Champions League for maintaining a consistently high standard of management on all sites.
Individual Sites also topped the Holiday Park category with Sandringham Site becoming the Major National Award Winner for England, for Scotland Rosemarkie took the award and for Northern Ireland, Delamont Country Park was the winner.
The Loo of the Year Awards have been identifying the best of Britain’s loos since 1987. They are recognised as standard setters for all those who provide “away from home” facilities for staff, customers and visitors.
Trevor Woodward, Chairman of the Club Sites Committee, said: “This is great news. Achieving and maintaining a high standard of toilet facilities has always been high on our list of priorities in providing our members and visitors with a quality camping experience.
“These awards are the result of our excellent Holiday Site Managers who maintain our high standards. Their commitment and hard work has assured these results this year and in previous years and I am sure will secure further awards in the Loo of the Year Awards in the future.”
