Troutbeck Camping and Caravanning Club Site will be opened to the public on
1 June 06 by Franchisees Fraser and Suzanne Smith, with the support of the 400,000-member strong Camping and Caravanning Club.

This new 30-pitch site lies nine miles from the Club’s Keswick Site – a superb location in unbeatable walking country with spectacular views. The onsite facilities include a six-berth caravan holiday-home to let and a good site shop which sells local and organic produce.

Troutbeck is a great base from which to explore the little known Vale of Eden that separates the North Pennines from the Lake District. The beautiful valley boasts superb walks, sleepy villages and quaint market towns.

In fact, there are more than 70 main tourist attractions within striking distance of Troutbeck, including: Ullswater; Dalemain Historic House and Gardens; The National Trust owned Air Force waterfall; and Eden Ostrich World – a working farm that houses Zebras, raccoons and a kids’ play area.

Trevor Woodward, Chairman of the Club Sites Committee says: “Troutbeck is a small, friendly site with fantastic views. It’s secluded, but close to the main route from Penrith to Keswick. It’s a gorgeous setting convenient for the North Lakes and North Pennines.”

Bookings can be taken via ClubREZ – the Club’s real-time on-line booking service on the Club’s website, or via the Club’s National Contact Centre: 0845 130 7633. Alternatively, contact Fraser or Suzanne at Troutbeck Camping and Caravanning Club Site, Hutton Moore End, Troutbeck, Penrith, Cumbria CA11 0SX, tel: 01768 779615.
