It was once the favourite holiday location of Queen Victoria. These days the Isle of Wight is also the getaway destination of choice for quite a number of holidaymakers too.
And as if you needed any better excuse to pop across the Solent, we’ve teamed up with Wightlink Ferries to offer a return crossing to the island for up to four people travelling in a motorhome or a car towing a caravan or trailer, or a solo car.
The prize also includes a two-week stay at our 270-pitch Adgestone Club Site on a Club Service Pitch.
The Isle of Wight is a great holiday destination with its miles of sandy beaches and dramatic chalky coastline.
Quite apart from Queen Victoria’s former abode at Osborne House near Cowes, now managed by English Heritage, there’s much more to discover about the island that was known by the Romans as Vectis.
It may be small but you can pack plenty into a holiday on the island. Whether it’s making an ornament with the coloured sands of Alum Bay, exploring the past in the secret rocket-testing site at Needles Old Battery or enjoying a day out at the UK’s oldest theme park at Blackgang Chine, there’s plenty to do.
You might want to have, quite literally, a close encounter with the animals at Tapnell Farm Park, or simply take a stroll through the subtropical and the exotic at Ventnor’s Botanic Gardens.
After a busy day, you can unwind at Adgestone’s outdoor swimming pool.
To be in with a chance of winning simply the answer the questions below and complete our competition entry form.
- Can you name the UK's oldest theme park?
- What is the name of Queen Victoria's Isle of Wight holiday home?
