Festivals & Heritage

The Black Country Living Museum preserves a part of the Black Country’s industrial landscape, and brings it back to life with a changing programme of demonstrations and events from metal working and glass cutting to sweet making. Visitors can take a trip on the tram to explore the canalside village, meet and chat to the costumed characters, and explore the underground mine.

Each house, shop and workshop has been filled with collections, from sad irons to nails that would have been seen in situ from the 1800s to 1940s. You can marvel over vehicles from the golden age of motoring and have drink in a real spit and sawdust Inn. You can even watch the silver screen flicker to life in the Limelight Cinema, which features silent films from the 1920s. With regular events throughout the year, there is lots to do for all the family.
