Come and see the spectacular Kielder Birds of Prey, visiting the camp site on 26 October, 11.30-12.30pm. Get up close to these amazing birds. A free event for those staying at the site. Early arrivals accepted (from 10.00am) as a special arrangement on 26 October.
At lunch time, we welcome the local Bay Horse Inn to provide their renowned Hog Roast, with baps available at £3.50.
Why not follow lunch with a trip to the Hexham Spook Night, a ghoulish fair, starting in Hexham Market Place at 3pm. Then return for our pumpkin carving competition (pumpkins and tea lights provided), with judging in the evening. Halloween costumes optional but welcome!
Late at night on the same day, a special event at the Kielder Observatory takes a fascinating look at the bright comet Ison entering our night sky. The observatory is running 'Family Astronomy' events starting earlier in the evening from 27 October. All events should be booked in advance via the Observatory website as they do sell out.
