In the village of Saltford between Bath and Bristol are four major routeways – a historic turnpike road, Brunel’s Great Western Railway, a disused railway line reborn as a cycle route, and a river that was converted into a canal. Discover the stories behind the construction of each routeway and their various uses for industry, transportation, leisure. This is a free self-guided walk.
