Camping in Switzerland
Breathtaking views of snow topped mountains, lake filled valleys and rolling meadows; the Swiss landscape promises a lot and delivers even more.
Camping in Switzerland is an invigorating and exciting experience making it the perfect destination for those who want to really connect with nature.
If you like walking and hiking you will of course, be in your element. Switzerland is also easy to explore by car, with a two or three hour trip taking you though a variety of enchanting landscapes.
Switzerland is famous for its truly integrated public transport system and it is easy to travel by boat, train, bus and even cable car (or often a combination of all, using just one regional travel card!).
There’s also the food. Swiss chocolate is of course world famous as are delicious Swiss cheeses such as Emmental, Gruyère and Vacherin – and you can’t go camping in Switzerland without sampling a traditional fondue!
Apple juice, cider, beer and Swiss wine are traditional drinks and these will probably be the most popular accompaniment to your meals.
Our two quiet Club selected sites, Lazy Rancho and Vitznau both guarantee a friendly welcome and with a range of quality facilities including swimming pools, shops and restaurants/bars, they’re perfect for a family camping holiday. Members can also enjoy a rally at Lazy Rancho in June.
