Tour itinerary
Days 1 - 4
Meet your tour group on the lovely east Antrim coast for a welcome evening barbecue on site. Two days of trips explore the region’s rich industrial heritage. After a guided coach tour of Belfast, visit Belfast City Hall with its history of the textile and shipbuilding industries. Then it’s off to Titanic Belfast, including a walking tour of the Titanic Dry Dock and Pump House with a local ‘Titanorak’ guide. Next day is a coach trip to the Bangor home of Whale pumps, known to motorcaravanners everywhere. A fun hands-on factory tour, including a light lunch, is followed by a museum stop before returning to your campsite at Ballygally. Day four is at leisure, allowing you to explore some of the highlights of the renowned and beautiful Antrim coast, that includes the Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, Bushmills, Portrush and Coleraine.
4 nights campsite near Ballygally.
Days 5 - 7
Head south to Dublin, perhaps taking time to find out more about Ireland’s patron saint at
the Saint Patrick's Centre in Downpatrick, or to investigate the beautiful scenery and wildlife
of the Strangford Lough area or the Mourne Mountains, en-route. Your two days around Dublin include the Dublin City Bus Tour, valid
for two days from the site, and a coach to an evening meal and lively Irish cabaret at what is reputedly Ireland’s highest pub. There’s also a leisure day – try visiting the National Stud and Japanee Gardens in Kildare, or the Wicklow Hills. 3 Nights campsite on the outskirts of Dublin.
Days 8 - 11
An easy drive from the Irish sea to the Atlantic, as you head for Galway. Here the group will enjoy a day trip into the stunning scenery of Connemara; and another taking in the area south of Galway city, including Kinvara fishing village, Dunguaire Castle, Gleninsheen Wedge Tomb, the ancient Poulnabrone Dolmen, the very special natural environment of the Burren, and the amazing 214m high Cliffs of Moher, also know as a renowned and spectacular movie location. Another leisure day allows you time to explore pretty Galway city, or to head out for a further trip into Connemara.
3 nights Galway coast campsite, just outside Galway city.
Days 12 - 14
A short hop south to a campsite on the Clare coast, near the cliffs and the Burren, but also within a short stroll of the pier, with daily ferries to the Aran Islands. There are also boat trips around, and a new walkway up to, the cliffs. Two leisure days here allow you to unwind with some sea air, and to further explore this lovely area and the Aran Islands if you wish. 3 nights Clare coast campsite, near the Cliffs of Moher.
Days 15 - 20
Meander down to your last site in county Kerry, either via Limerick, or by taking the ferry across the Shannon, the biggest river in the British Isles. The first day based around Killarney comprises a Ring of Kerry coach tour, with lunch at O'Carrolls Cove. Next day is a delightfully Irish gentle day trip, by traditional jaunting cart through the Gap of Dunloe, and via boat across the Killarney lakes. A leisure day can be spent relaxing on site; or either taking a bus, or walking the Fossa way through the national park, into Killarney; or driving out to Muckross House and gardens. We complete our tour of the Emerald Isle with a day tour of the Dingle peninsula, and lunch at Dingle boatyard, before the tour ends with some great ‘craic’ – an evening meal and music at Kate Kearney's House. 5 nights campsite on the outskirts of Killarney. End of tour arrangements. We can arrange for you to stay on in Killarney, or book you into our other Irish sites – just ask, or book online.
