Our popular Taste of Normandy tour is great for first-timers in France or seasoned visitors alike, with a chance to explore some of Normandy’s nicest places.
An excursion through the Pays d’Auge to see the picturesque countryside.
A visit to the D-Day sites to take in the impact of the historical landings.
An excursion to Paris seeing the sights of this famous city.
Tour itinerary
Day 1
Meet up at Canterbury Club site with fellow tour members and Club tour escorts.
1 night Canterbury Club site.
Day 2
Drive to Dover for the 0925 ferry to Calais. Disembark and drive to campsite at Blangy-le-Château. Nearly all of this journey is by motorway so it is a great way to adjust to driving on the other side of the road. Evening welcome meal in site restaurant with your Club tour escorts and fellow members.
1 night campsite near Blangy-le-Château.
Day 3
Coach excursion through the Pays d’Auge, the picturesque area around the site, dotted with apple orchards and old timbered and thatched
cottages along the “Route du Cidre”, visiting the old port of Honfleur with its markets and art galleries. Return to the campsite via a Calvados distillery.
1 night campsite near Blangy-le-Château.
Day 4
Guided ramble through the countryside surrounding the campsite. For the energetic the site offers specially negotiated rates at local golf courses within 15 miles of the campsite.

Day 5
Full day guided coach excursion to Paris – taking in such highlights as the Eiffel Tower and Champs de Mars, the Alexandre III Bridge, the Petit Palais, the Champs Elysées, the Place de la Concorde, the Opéra, the Sacré Coeur and the Arc de Triomphe (Lunch is not included, but a picnic stop is made on the Champs de Mars).

Day 6
Drive to campsite near Bayeux. Evening welcome meal in campsite restaurant.

Day 7
A day at leisure to explore Bayeux on market day. Be sure to visit the famous tapestry too.

Day 8
A full day guided excursion to visit the D-Day sites and discover the history of the area. In the evening there will be a farewell meal in campsite restaurant.

Day 9
Depart site and travel to campsite near Amiens.
In the evening you may wish to travel into Amiens centre to see the light show that takes place at the cathedral.

Day 10
Travel from site to Calais for the 1520 return ferry to Dover. End of tour arrangements.
