South-AfricaDay 1 - 2
Fly overnight to Cape Town, pick up your motorhome and get your first taste of Africa.

Day 3 - 4
Explore the Cape Winelands area and stock up on some of South Africa’s finest wines, using Franschoek as your base.

Day 5
Head into the Klein Karoo area and the scenic town of Montagu.

Day 6
Make your way along the renowned R62 through the Klein Karoo to Oudtshoorn – known as the ostrich capital of South Africa. A visit to the Cango Caves has been popular with members on previous trips.

Day 7 - 8
Travel towards the Indian Ocean and Tsitsikamma National Park, home of the highest bridge bungee jump in the world.

Day 9
Passing through the delightful towns of Plettenburg Bay and Knysna, head into Wilderness National Park, a charming world of rivers, estuaries and beaches.

Day 10
Leaving the coast, travel back into the Klein Karoo to the picturesque town of Swellendam.

Day 11 - 12
Head back to the coast and Hermanus, which is famous for whale watching and has its own whale cryer, who calls the whales in from the deep.

Day 13
Travel back to Cape Town.

Day 14

What is the best time to travel?

Because of South Africa’s climate, this trip can be taken at any time of the year but the best weather will be in the summer months from October to February.
