You're just a few minutes' walk from the water's edge at Delamont Country Park, offering spectacular views across the Strangford Lough. It's the largest sea lough in the British Isles and a designated Marine Nature Reserve, as well as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - so it really is something special.

Tyrella Beach is an obvious choice. It's around 22 minutes drive from the campsite but it's well worth the effort. You can easily while away a whole day along this corner of the South Down coast, strolling along the seafront promenade or enjoying nostalgic amusements in Newcastle itself. The beach is a long ribbon of sand and pebbles that shelves gently, with lovely views to the distant Mourne Mountains.
