Staying at a CS

Staying at a CS

Some sites are minimal with basic facilities of a waste disposal point and water points, so you really can go ‘back-to-basics’ camping and truly make it your own. Alternatively we have sites that offer toilet and showers blocks, hard-standing pitches, electric hook-ups and even an honesty shop or play area. We even have sites where you can hire a camping pod or yurt!

All Certificated Sites have basic facilities including a chemical disposal point and rinsing tap, drinking water and dry waste disposal. Many sites have extended their facilities to include electric hook-ups, toilets and showers, etc. We recommend checking the site entry for the full range of facilities available on site prior to your visit so that you know what you can expect. Likewise, some Certificated Sites are happy for you to turn up without booking (if space is available) but again we would suggest checking the booking preferences within their site entry, and do find that calling the site and pre-booking your pitch is often best practice.

We have a large number of Certificated Sites to suit all tastes and needs; whether you just need a pitch for the night, or making it your family holiday, you’ll find exactly what you’re after using our campsite directory. Certificated Sites can be open all year round too, so don’t discount a Christmas adventure or seeing in New Year under the stars.

We’ve broken down some of our sites by specific areas of interest such as sites with alternative accommodation (B&Bs, Camping Pods, Yurts and Tepees), fishing, family friendly, and hideaways. These lists can be found in Your Big Sites Book, or by using the search criteria in our campsite directory.
