The Big Club Get Together
'The Big Club Get-Together’ is a celebration of social camping, taking you back to where it all started in August 1901, when six friends went camping in an orchard on the outskirts of Wantage, and from this ‘small acorn’ has grown the ‘mighty oak’ known as The Camping and Caravanning Club.
We'd love for all of our members, new and old, to discover the fantastic benefits that Region, District Association and Special Interest Section camping has to offer by pitching-up with a Club unit over The Big Club Get Together weekend taking place during the Spring May Bank Holiday. (Friday 26th - Sunday 28th May 2017)
For those who haven’t yet tried this type of camping, it’s a fantastic opportunity to experience what Meets and Temporary Holiday Sites are all about and why our members love them so much. You can stay for some or all of the duration of these organised events and be as involved as much or as little as you like. We are inviting you to come along and enjoy affordable camping in great locations, in the company of friendly, experienced members who love camping just as much as you do!
Look out for the Big Club Get Together logo in the Out & About section of your monthly magazine, or in Out & About Online to find which events are part this great celebration of locally organised camping.

"Come along and try our Temporary Holiday Sites (THS) and Rallies. These meets are arranged by District Associations (D.A's ) of The Camping & Caravanning Club. The D.A's are run by members for the members to enjoy and we are all volunteers that enjoy meeting friends old and new."
"You always get a nice welcome. There's plenty of choice and you don't need to travel far. You are also able to explore any area you consider for whatever reason and are guaranteed a warm welcome as it's run by campers like yourselves."
