Burns Night Events in 2025
January 25th marks Burns Night, commemorating the birth and life of Scotland’s most famous poet, Robert Burns. Across the UK, but especially in Scotland, Burns Night is celebrated with a classic supper of haggis, neeps and tatties, often accompanied by a warming dram of whisky. Discover below a selection of events taking place across the country for Rabbie Burns Night.
1. Burns Supper aboard The Royal Yacht Britannia, Edinburgh
24th & 25th January
The Royal Yacht Britannia, around a 20-minute drive from the centre of Edinburgh, is a wonderful setting for your Burns Night supper. The cost of tickets includes a drinks and canapé reception, tour of the state apartments and five-course meal including the “Address to a Haggis”. A complimentary dram will accompany storytelling to end your evening.
2. Traditional Burns Night Celebration at the Globe Inn, Dumfries
25th January
The cosy, award-winning Globe Inn is a 40-minute drive from our Moffat Club Site. The traditional dinner is a five-course tasting menu accompanied by captivating music, traditional toasts, and entertainment that make Burs Night so spectacular. It’s set to be an enchanting evening and perfect for those staying in Moffat.
3. Burns Supper on the Rep Stage, Dundee
24th & 25th January
Dundee is a 40-minute drive from our Scone Club Site in Tayside. The Dundee Rep is putting on an event promising traditional food, plenty of culture, and a night of brilliant entertainment. Your ticket price includes an arrival drink, half a bottle of wine, and a three-course dinner in the beautiful Grade A-listed building.
4. Burns an' a' that at Stirling Castle, Stirling
25th January
Robert Burns visited Stirling Castle in 1787 just before writing the now-famous Stirling Lines. Visit Stirling Castle on January 25th to learn all about Robert Burns and why the celebrations happen.
5. DUSF Burns Night Supper, Dundee
25th January
Join in with the Burns Night Supper at Dundee United Supporters Foundation on the 25th. Around a 40-minute drive from our Moffat Club Site, you’ll get a traditional three-course meal and a dram to accompany the toast to the haggis.
6. Burns Night Evenings at Moor Hall, Sutton Coldfield
24th & 25th January
Just a 15-minute drive from our Kingsbury Water Park Club Site, Moor Hall is putting on a wonderful Burns Night celebration. Expect a traditional piper to escort the haggis, a four-course meal, and plenty of dancing to the authentic ceilidh band.
7. Burns Night Supper at The Borrowdale Hotel, Keswick
17th January
Those staying on any of our Lake District campsites which remain open during January can head to the Borrowdale Hotel in Keswick. Welcome canapes, a four-course Scottish inspired meal and a whisky nightcap will be accompanied by a traditional piper for the evening.
8. Burns Night at The Gurkha Museum
24th January
Attend a Burns Night celebration with a twist at The Gurkha Museum in Winchester. Around a 40 minute drive from our Salisbury Club Site, the museum puts on a brilliant celebration of the Gurkhas long history and affiliation with Scotland and Scottish Regiments. Your ticket includes a three-course Nepali supper with a Scottish twist.
9. Burns Night Celebrations at The Kennels, West Sussex
25th January
A traditional Ceilidh band will be ready to welcome you to The Kennels at Goodwood on the 25th, just a 20-minute drive from Chichester Club Site. Haggis, bagpipes, poetry and whisky can all be expected.
10. Burns Night at Hall Place, Kent
25th January
Hall Place & Gardens in Bexley, within driving distance of our Theobalds Park Club Site, is hosting a Burns Night celebration and four-course meal in the historic house. The event will include the Ode to the Haggis and a whisky taster.
