1. Dark Arts at Warner Brothers Studio Tour, Leavesden
13 September – 10 November 2024
Step into Hogwarts at Halloween from mid-September at The Making of Harry Potter at the Warner Brothers Studio Tour. See the Great Hall decorated with 100 floating pumpkins and a Halloween feast you’ll recognise from the films. Keep an eye out for the symbol of Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters as the Dark Mark is projected throughout the Studio Tour. Whether you’ve never been before or keep going back to see the new sets, this is a great family-friendly attraction with something for everyone to enjoy. 2. Scarefest at Alton Towers Resort, Staffordshire
11 October – 3 November 2024
Whether you’re looking for spine-tingling terror or a day of gentle spooks, Alton Towers has a great line-up planned. For family fun, there will be plenty of Halloween-themed shows and surprises in the gardens. Real thrill-seekers can brave the usual goose-bump-inducing rides in complete darkness for a spin on the usual experience.

3. Halloween at Muncaster Castle, Lake District
25 October – 3 November 2024
The 13th century Muncaster Castle is one of the finest historic houses in the Lake District and is a suitably spooky location for Halloween week. The castle is one of Britain’s most haunted castles for a guided tour or to join in with the spooktastic activities put on each year. The Halloween Family Festival is set to be full of competitions, entertainment, arts & crafts, and spooks in the garden and castle. Scarecaster at Muncaster is an event exclusively for ages 16+, with real scares for thrill seekers.

4. Halloween Spooktacular at Paultons Park, Hampshire
17 October – 4 November 2024
Paultons Park is putting on the friendliest Halloween activities this October. Peppa and George will be in their spookiest outfits, the park will transform into a Halloween wonderland, and there will be plenty of singing and dancing to make your visit one to remember. Halloween Spooktacular aims to bring a little ghoulish fun to all who enter throughout the Halloween period.

5. Thorpe Park Fright Nights, Surrey
4 – 6 Oct, 11 – 13 Oct and 17 Oct – 3 November 2024
Thorpe Parks Halloween events are some of the most popular in the UK. This October, Thorpe Park will have a scare behind every corner. Experience the rides in the dead of the night like you never have before and only enter the scare zones and mazes if you dare. 6. Hallowscream, York
11 October – 2 November 2024
Visit York Maze for a terrifying night of fun and fear. Here, you’ll find five separate live-action haunted house-style attractions, including 2073, Corny’s Cornevil, The Flesh Pot, The Singularity, and Necropolis. As the names suggest, this event is strictly for ages 16+.

7. Halloween Half Term Fun at Old Sarum, Wiltshire
26 October – 3 November 2024

13. A (Very) Batty Half Term at Kents Cavern, Devon
26 October – 3 November 2024
A visit to these prehistoric caves during half term includes lots of Halloween themed fun for all ages. From spotting all of the pumpkins hidden in the caves, to learning all about the 17 species of bat that live in the UK, Kents Cavern will keep little ones entertained.

14. Trick or Treat Walking Tour of York
Selected dates 14 – 31st October 2024
Meet the Dungeon Jester outside York Dungeon and he’ll take you on a 60 minute walking tour through the city. This is great for the whole family and less scary than a trip to the Dungeon itself. Learn all about the history of York as you venture through the city, seeing its most popular landmarks along the way.

15. Pumpkin Trail at Bolton Abbey, Skipton
19 October – 3 November 2024
Bolton Abbey makes a brilliant day out for the whole family with plenty of places to play, explore and discover. This Halloween step through the spooky gates to Strid Wood and follow the giant pumpkins to solve the puzzle!

16. Halloween at Stonebridge City Farm, Nottingham
This urban farm provides animal interactions, a petting zoo and plenty of play areas for little ones. Things are getting spooky at Stonebridge City Farm during October and there are plenty of furry animals to visit alongside some Halloween themed fun. Make your own trick or treat bags to use. Entry to Stonebridge City Farm is free but donations are very welcome.
