Avebury Stone Circles

The Avebury Neolithic stone circles are actually larger than Stonehenge and just as mysterious. Averbury Stones are just a short distance from our Devizes Club Site which means you can camp near the Avebury Stones.

Dating back to 2600BC, the complex is made up of two main circles, a cove, two ceremonial avenues and numerous barrows, tumuli's and other earthworks. The location is sacred to new age pagans as a religious site and is also infamous for weird lights, strange myths, visitations and the 'barber skeleton' mystery.
