Visiting Bayard's Cove Fort
Located beside the entrance to Dartmouth Harbour, Bayard's Cove Fort is a Tudor fortress built in the 16th century.
The fort was built as a last line of defence against enemy ships that had evaded Dartmouth and Kingswear Castle.
Wander around the fort and envisage the structure that contained heavy guns and local soldiers.
