The Beamish 'open air' Museum is based on a 300 acre estate in County Durham with activities and adventure for all ages. The museum has a specific focus on the transition of the North East of England during the Industrial revolution.
Visit the traditional Edwardian town and discover what life was like in the era, experience the atmosphere of an open air tramway with the replica Edwardian depot. The 1940’s farmhouse is a big hit, giving an insight into wartime life including rationing, traditional farm animals and a family of evacuees.
