Beaumaris Castle Beaumaris Castle

Found in North East Anglesey, in the town of the same name, this was the last castle built as part of the programme set by King Edward I for the suppression of Wales. It stands on land once occupied by Vikings and used for smuggling. Almost symmetrically perfect it is one of the finest but unfinished, castles in the country.
