Despite appearing inhospitable and desoltate, there's a lot to discover at Bodmin Moor. Surrounded by bent, stunted trees and eerie mining ruins, over 5,000 years of human activity has left its mark on the site.

From Bronze-Age ritual sites to Neolithic hilltop enclosures, and from medieval tin works to a quarry which supplied the stone for Tower Bridge, there's plenty to see here.

One of Cornwall's designated Areas of Natural Beauty, the moor is home to two of Cornwall's highest peaks, Rough Tor and Brown Willy.
