Emirates Air Line Emirates Air Line

Opened in 2012, the Thames Cable Car is a unique recent addition to the East London skyline.

The Air Line links the Royal Victoria Docks on the north bank of the River Thames to the Greenwich Peninsula on the south bank.

The line runs with 34 passenger gondolas each of which can carry 10 passengers. It is operated by Transport for London and is the first cable car system in Britain to function in an urban environment.
