Visiting Rochester Castle
Rochester Castle is a magnificent example of Anglo-Norman architecture and a tribute to medieval construction skills. Its state of preservation is outstanding and the huge central ‘keep’ is the tallest surviving great tower of its kind anywhere in Europe. It is located directly opposite Rochester Cathedral and is believed to be haunted by the ghost of Lady Blanche de Warenne who was killed during the siege of 1264. This is a highly recommended destination.
