Scotney Castle Scotney Castle

Scotney Castle is an excellent example of a British fortified house parts of which date back to sometime between 1358 and 1378. It has secret doors, hidden passages and even a priest hole. For a time it was used by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher as a retreat. There are dinosaur footprints in the wonderful gardens and excellent visitor facilities and tearoom.
