City camping: explore the top UK cities from your pitch

City breaks are a great way to immerse yourself in different cultures and visit top landmarks throughout the UK.  Hotel rooms can make city breaks a little pricey but that’s one less thing to worry about when camping with the Club. We have a selection of campsites situated within easy access of some of England’s most visited cities. Staying at one of our Club Sites allows you to keep the city just far enough away that you’re able to enjoy the tranquillity all our campsites offer. We’ve compiled a selection of our favourite things to do in some of the top UK cities, within easy reach of our Club Sites.

York

The ancient, walled centre of York offers more visitor attractions per square mile than anywhere else in the UK, so you’ll be spoilt for things to do here. From walking down York’s smallest street, dating back to the 16th century all the way to enjoying a beverage of your choice in a 12th century mediaeval pub.

Nottingham

You most likely already know that Nottingham is associated with the legend of Robin Hood, but have you heard about the City of Caves? Underneath Nottingham lies a network of hundreds of caves, with many uses including cellars and air raid shelters, which even some of its residents don’t know about. There’s plenty more to do besides the caves including Nottingham castle!

London

It would be impossible to write about British city breaks and not include England’s capital city. Dr Samuel Johnson said “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life”. Who can argue with a statement like that when there is so much to see and do there? If famous landmarks are your thing then Buckingham palace, Big Ben and St Paul’s Cathedral are well worth a visit, or see them all from the London Eye.
