To pick up the story where our Simon McGrath left off, I write this blog from the grassy late arrivals area at Ebury Hill, the final campsite in our whistlestop tour of the Club’s Welsh sites, and those English sites near its borders.

I'm currently sat in a Vango Capri 500 tent on a little Certificated Site in Wales. It's not much after 6am and the dawn chorus is in full song having warmed up some time ago.Thankfully it's dry this morning though the same could not be said about yesterday.

Right now I’m feeling pretty sore. But also pretty inspired.

Sore because I’ve just completed the Jean Stewart Walk, an annual event held by the Scottish Region’s Camping Club Youth section (CCY) across two days taking in 21 miles and camping along the way. Not to mention lugging all our own camping kit and food on our backs.
