Aberystwyth Promenade and Constitution Hill
If you’re in the mood for some fresh air and a lovely walk, then head to the Aberystwyth Promenade, where you’ll find Constitution Hill – rising 430 feet from the north end of the promenade.
The hill overlooks Cardigan Bay, Llyn Peninsula and Strumble Head, and on a clear day, you can see 26 Welsh mountain peaks, including the famous Mount Snowdon.
Once you reach the top, you’ll find the world's largest Camera Obscura, providing a birds-eye view of the town.
Constitution Hill is also home to Aberystwyth Cliff Railway, the longest electric cliff railway in Britain and the only one in Wales. This 779-foot track hauls the tilted carriages at a speed of 4 miles per hour – giving you plenty of time to marvel at the panoramic views.
