Overview

Tan Y Rhiw dog friendly site is approximately 1 mile from the centre of Llanwrst and is perfectly situated for those who are seeking either a relaxing day on the beach or an action-packed holiday that includes walking, climbing, mountain biking, Zip World, Surf Snowdonia etc. Llanwrst is a market town in the Conwy Valley standing on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. It has a good range of shops including 2 small supermarkets. The town also boasts a number of pubs, restaurants, takeaways and the world-famous Tu Hwnt ir Bont tea room, well worth a visit. The popular walking centre of Betws-y-Coed is approximately 5 miles away. Here 3 tributaries join to make the River Conwy. There are easy accessible walks along its banks. Plenty more challenging walks are also possible around the famous Swallow Falls, Fairy Glen and in the surrounding forests. Not to forget Snowdon and the other mountain ranges. Conwy and Llandudno are a short drive away and you can be in Anglesey in about an hour. There are many historic towns and castles ready to explore. For the less adventurous a trip on the Ffestiniog mountain railway is a great way to enjoy the scenery. Open 1st April - 31st October
Please contact the campsite directly if you have any questions about opening dates, facilities or additional measures at this campsite.

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland

To vote for your favourite CS, all you need to do is fill in the online form and select which category you would like to nominate the campsite for.
