Overview
Situated directly off the main East Yorkshire coast road (B1242) in the Hamlet of Garton, almost directly between Hornsea and Withernsea, Blue Mill is nestled in a 19-acre section of our family farmland, on occasion be sure to spot our pedigree Herefords or Kune Kune pigs as well as our resident family of buzzards, rabbits, hares and if you’re very lucky the kingfisher as well as much more. The East Yorkshire 129 bus service runs 7 days (6 days out of season) a week through the summer season between Hornsea and Withernsea with a stop just a few yards from our entrance.
Directly on site we have a 3-acre wild woodland walk, nature pond and subject to livestock, 15 acres of open grass land.
A 15 minute walk into the village of Fitling takes you to the fantastic The Spotted Duck licensed tea room open every day from 10am except Monday, 2 Miles walk/drive to the coast, 1 mile to the nearest Bridle way that takes you on a scenic walk/bike ride into Aldbrough where you can enjoy a bite to eat at The Frying Farmer, go fishing or grab a pint at the popular Sellwood Arms.
This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland
