Overview

Our secluded campsite is situated on the outskirts of Lechlade in the Cotswold Water Park. The 2-acre site is mostly flat with 10 well-spaced electric hook-up points as well as ample non-hook-up space. The camping field is sheltered and surrounded by woodland and nature reserve on three sides. Visitors can take a stroll through the farm woodland and Lechlade town centre with its cafes, shops, pubs and the river Thames are a 20-minute walk away. Facilities include toilets, a lovely shower, drinking water, washing-up area, washing machine, recycling and a chemical disposal point (green eco toilet fluid only). Well-behaved dogs and children are welcome. Green toilet fluid and firewood are for sale on site. Lechlade is an excellent base to explore nearby Cotswold gems such as Burford, Bibury, Cirencester and other quaint nearby villages. Other attractions include Cotswold Wildlife Park, Buscot House and Gardens, Chedworth Roman Villa, the Tythe Barn at Great Coxwell and Bushyleaze Trout Fishery next door. There are swimming pools close by in Highworth and Faringdon and the brave can go “wild swimming” at Buscot Weir (2 miles away). We are open all-year-round, weather permitting
Please contact the campsite directly if you have any questions about opening dates, facilities or additional measures at this campsite.

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland

To vote for your favourite CS, all you need to do is fill in the online form and select which category you would like to nominate the campsite for.
