    Overview

    The Cotswolds is within easy driving distance of Winchcombe Club Site.


    You’ll find our pretty Winchcombe campsite in the heart of the Cotswolds. Its location near the village of Alderton makes this campsite the perfect base for exploring the area’s pretty honey-colour limestone towns and villages.

    It’s great walking country too. For starters there’s the Winchcombe way. This 42-mile, figure-of-eight trail runs adjacent to the campsite.


    Winchcombe is a charming, quiet little site with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. Bag yourself a pool-side pitch and enjoy a prime fishing spot.


    The site has excellent toilet and shower facilities, a games room and dog walk.  


    The attractive town of Winchcombe is a short drive from the site. It has Walkers are Welcome status and a tempting variety of top restaurants, pubs and tea shops. Further afield Cheltenham with its elegant Regency houses, award-wining gardens and stylish shops is worth visiting.

    		These are super service hard standing pitches with electric hook-up, fresh water and waste drainage, suitable for those looking for a little more luxury whilst they camp.

    100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. More information.

    Hailes Abbey

    Hailes Abbey was founded in the picturesque Cotswolds countryside in 1246 by the Earl of Cornwall. Once an important monastery, all that is left today are tranquil ruins. Pick up one of the free audio guides and let the narrator re-erect the ruins and take you on a journey through its fascinating history.

    Sudeley Castle

    One of the few castles in England that remains a private residence, Sudeley Castle is a 15th century fort that is famed for being the burial place of Henry VIII’s sixth wife, Catherine Parr.

    Cheltenham Racecourse

    The iconic home of jump racing, Cheltenham Racecourse is nestled among the rolling Cotswold Hills and is a fantastic day out for the entire family. The racecourse offers an array of events throughout the year, including the Festival, four days every horse-racing fan looks forward to.

    Broadway Tower

    Designed by Capability Brown and built in 1798, Broadway Tower is a Saxon tower that holds the title for best viewpoint in the Cotswolds. The tower’s rooms are now open to visitors that want to learn about its most famous residents, Sir Thomas Phillips and William Morris.
