Overview

Camping at Ocean House…. Meet Ashley. Hello, I’m pleased to invite you to camp down at the beach at Ocean House SL. Pitch up and walk into the surrounding ancient woodlands. Breathe in the beauty of the extensive woods and discover the Site of Special Scientific Interest on Southampton water beach front. From Ocean House, it’s a short bike or bus ride into Southampton city, where your options are endless. From shopping in the renowned West quay centre, to the historic city, where the Titanic Museum and Monument is located. From here you can catch a ferry to the Isle of wight, Hythe village or even Cruise ship to a faraway place. From Ocean House, head in the other direction, along the beach. On foot or bike (it’s not far) to the Victoria country park, then on, to the pretty village of Hamble. Hamble has many pubs and is situated on the famous Yachting Mecca, The River Hamble. Ferrys here, go to Warsash where walks along the river will fill your day with outstanding natural beauty and points of interest. If it’s all too much, chill at the beach, in the relaxing grounds at Ocean House SL. Visit https://www.visit-hampshire.co.uk/explore/cities/southampton
Please contact the campsite directly if you have any questions about opening dates, facilities or additional measures at this campsite.

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

*Tents are not permitted on the majority of CS sites in Scotland

To vote for your favourite CS, all you need to do is fill in the online form and select which category you would like to nominate the campsite for.
